This workshop includes a debate about whether women should do as they are expected, and be warm and friendly, vs. working to change stereotypes, at the risk of being a victim of bias.
Inclusion by Design: Create an Inclusive and Accessible Experience

You will learn why it’s important to create accessible documents and presentations, especially for those with disabilities. You will learn what is required to make a file accessible focusing on Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. We’ll discuss assistive technology that helps those with disabilities and how others may benefit from it as well.
Bring your phone: the audience will see my phone so I can demonstrate apps people use for accessibility which they may want to install on their phones.
Connection, Lifestyle, and Sleep: Finding Balance in a Hurried Time

This workshop is designed around exploring ways to find balance within your day using the Lifestyle Medicine framework. Discussions will focus on incorporating healthful lifestyle practices with an emphasis on the critical importance of sleep. The domains of connectedness, movement, nutrition, and restorative sleep will be explored as well as ways to improve health related factors for us and our communities by examining “what determines health” and health outcomes.
