Luyi Lien 連鷺役 - Yinghua Academy

連鷺役博士,美國明尼蘇達大學教育學博士。目前擔任英華特許學校執行長/校長一職。連博士統籌、計劃,並落實英華學校沈浸式課程。英華學校致力追求卓越、以提供優質沈浸式教育,培育具有國際觀、負責任的世界公民為宗旨。


Dr. Luyi Lien is the Executive Director at Yinghua Academy. She has been working at Yinghua since its inception in 2006. Dr. Lien has served as a classroom teacher, curriculum writer, textbook author, and Academic Director; before she joined Yinghua, Dr. Lien published and wrote novels and essays in her native Taiwan. When Yinghua started in 2006, Dr. Lien was the language teacher, curriculum coordinator, interim executive director, and academic director for the past 16 years. She has been an integral steady force, responsible for establishing Yinghua’s strong immersion curriculum and dedication to excellence.  She continues to provide outstanding educational opportunities to students and has maintained an attitude of looking to the future to create programs that help students expand their worldview and their ability to work with others.

 

 

Stacy Lyon 连芯玟 - Utah Chinese Dual Language Immersion

犹他州中文沉浸式项目主任;中文早期沉浸式教育联络网(CELIN)的顾问委员会创始成员和全美各州外语督学协会会员。在担任现职之前,她曾在犹他州 K-9 公立特许学校担任世界语言项目主任, 在此校发起并建立了中国语言和文化项目,并教授 7 年中文。她曾就读于东北师范大学中文系,获杨百翰大学幼儿和初等教育学位学士学位,辅修音乐,并获得华盛顿大学音乐教育硕士学位。

 

Stacy Lyon has served as the state director for the Utah Chinese Dual Language Immersion (DLI) Program in the USA since 2013. The Utah 50/50- model Chinese immersion program for K-12 students currently serves 95 schools with over 250 teachers across 14 school districts.  Prior to her current role under the Utah State Board of Education, Lyon served as World Language Program Director at a K–9 public charter school in Utah, where she taught in a K-9 Chinese program she initiated and built over a 7-year period. Lyon has been instrumental in the development of Chinese literacy curriculum for Chinese DLI programs, and partnered with many organizations in the US and abroad, on various trainings and projects supporting administrators and international guest teachers. She is a founding member of the Chinese Early Language Immersion Network (CELIN), and been a member of the National Council for State Supervisors of Foreign Languages (NCSSFL) since 2013. 

 

 

Win-Lin Su 蘇文霖 - Yinghua International School, NJ

Wen-Lin Su has an extensive background in teaching Chinese language and culture. She works at YingHua International School (YHIS) a Chinese immersion school serve students from 18 months old to 8th grade in Kingston, NJ, serving in a variety of roles, including Director of Academics and International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP) Coordinator. Prior to this, she has experience teaching at various universities and language programs, both in the United States and in Taiwan. She received a Master of Arts in Teaching Chinese/Mandarin as a Second/Foreign Language from National Taiwan Normal University and a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Literature from National Cheng-Chi University.

 

 

Kathleen Wang - Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School

Kathleen Wang is a lead founder of the Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School in Hadley, Massachusetts.  She currently serves as founding Principal of the school and is in her 16th year.  The Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School (PVCICS) is a tuition-free Kindergarten through 12th grade public charter school serving 39 communities in western Massachusetts consisting of rural, suburban and urban communities.  PVCICS is an International Baccalaureate World School offering the Diploma Programme in high school. PVCICS is an IB for All high school and all students take IB Mandarin and other IB courses. The student population is diverse social-economically, racially/ethnically, and linguistically. She has spoken at national conferences to share her experiences developing a Chinese immersion program. 

 

 

Yongfang Zhang 张永芳 - Wofford College

张永芳博士,现任美国沃佛德大学(Wofford College)外语系副教授、中文项目负责人。目前担任美国外语教学学会中文口语测试员、AAPPL中文考试评分员、中文口语测试员培训员、中文AAPPL考试质量督导。研究方向主要有语言测试、汉语教学法、跨文化能力培养、教师培训、语言教学中的认知因素等。

 

Dr. Yongfang Zhang is an Associate Professor and the Coordinator of the Chinese Program at Wofford College. She is a certified ACTFL OPI Tester of Mandarin, a certified AAPPL rater, an ACTFL OPI Mandarin Tester Trainer, and an AAPPL Quality Advisor.  Her research interest includes proficiency testing, Chinese language pedagogy, intercultural competence, teacher preparation, and cognitive factors in language instruction.
