2023 1st International Workshop on Smart Applications on Embedded Systems

Scope:
The "Smart Applications on Embedded Systems" workshop aims to provide participants with comprehensive insights into the diverse embedded systems with the development of intelligent and adaptive applications. This workshop will delve into cutting-edge trends, technologies, and methodologies for exploring a wide range of smart applications within diverse embedded systems. Research and industry challenges for Smart Applications on Embedded Systems are numerous. Among them, this workshop will invite paper submissions in the areas such as, but are not limited to:
· Embedded Systems
o Embedded system architecture and components
o Real-time operating systems (RTOS)
o Embedded software development
· Smart Applications
o IoT and its role in embedded systems
o AI and machine learning in embedded systems
· Storage System and Memory Architecture
o Storage system and memory architecture in embedded systems
o On-chip memory architectures and management in embedded systems
o Near-memory and in-memory computing
· Hands-on Projects
o Building a smart sensor system
o Developing an IoT-based application
o Machine learning on embedded platforms
Call for Papers:
o Paper submissions must be written in English and follow the A4 Double-Column 9pt format, consisting of 2 pages at most, with a file size not exceeding 10MB.
o Please adhere to ACM standard formatting for paper submissions by e-mailing to Prof. Chin-Fu Kuo (chinfukuo2006@nuk.edu.tw).
o Format: PDF files are required; submissions in other formats will not be accepted.
o At least one author of the submitted accepted paper must register and attend the presentation.

Paper submission deadline : October 29, 2023
Notification of acceptance : November 15, 2023
Camera ready deadline : November 30, 2023
Author Registration : November 30, 2023
Registration Fees:
Every paper needs to be registered until the registration deadline (November 30, 2023) and must be presented at the conference.
