SPOTLIGHT ON THE CHICAGO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (CDOT)

CDOT will highlight contracting opportunities related to road construction projects throughout Chicago. CDOT will provide an overview of the work needed, including paving, site grading, landscaping, water main installation, lighting, and other electrical work.

SPOTLIGHT ON THE CHICAGO DEPARTMENT OF WATER MANAGEMENT (DWM)

DWM will review the ambitious 10-year Capital Improvement Plan, water and sewer main replacement opportunities, facilities modernization for engineering and construction projects. Both term agreements and standalone contracts will be available to bid.

DPS promotes responsible stewardship of city resources and ethical use of taxpayer dollars, encouraging participation from diverse and local businesses, and fosters broad competition through a fair and open process to obtain the highest quality goods and services. Join the Deputies from the Department of Procurement Services (DPS) for a brief introduction to city procurement through their governing authorities of contract administration, certification, incentives and programs, compliance.

SPOTLIGHT ON THE CHICAGO DEPARTMENT OF AVIATION (CDA)

The City of Chicago’s two major airports (O’Hare and Midway) create more than $45 billion in annual economic activity and create 540,000 jobs for the region. This workshop focuses on aviation-specific contracting opportunities in construction, work services, operations, and maintenance.

SPOTLIGHT ON THE CHICAGO DEPARTMENT OF ASSETS, INFORMATION, AND SERVICES (AIS)

AIS is responsible for maintaining and operating City-owned and leased vehicles and properties. In addition to the variety of support services, AIS provides to other City departments, maintaining the City facilities requires the assurance that these facilities are efficiently operational. Based on complexity, AIS design and construction services are implemented wherein projects are planned and delivered to address urgent conditions, deferred maintenance, and new construction scope through methods such as - professional services contracts, Job Order Contracts, term vendors, traditional bid solicitations, and partnering with agencies like the Public Building Commission. Largely, AIS continually ensures warm, safe, and dry conditions to over 500 City facilities.
