"Even if the world were perfect, it wouldn't be." Yogi Berra

Navigating opportunities for science education, community partnerships, and recognizing our place in these spaces.

Science Supervisors are networkers and leaders. By exploring the implications of context in instruction, assessment, and leadership in our practice we begin to explore what that means for each of us, and how we might manage the complexity of our work. What tensions do we negotiate? What partnerships can help us navigate our work? Where and how do we map and plan for equitable resource availability: coordinating between STEM/Science and CTE environments, addressing science education deserts, urban/rural contexts in education, teacher training, and access to instructional materials. Join us as we explore our science education environment, identify our places in it, and plan to navigate our way forward!!!

President's Welcome

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the Conference Planning Committee, welcome to the 2022 Council of State Science Supervisors Annual Conference. I am grateful to see so many friends and colleagues in-person and that we have a virtual option for those who could not join us in-person. The agenda includes a range of sessions to ensure the professional needs of both new members and veteran members are met. If this is your first CSSS Annual Conference, welcome and hold onto your hat. You are in for something special!
