About the Showcase
Each year, students involved in Civic Engagement and Service-Learning complete a variety of projects that showcase their ability to have a positive impact on their communities. The NECC Service Learning Showcase gives these students the opportunity to show their great accomplishments over the last year to the rest of the NECC Community and to the public. The NECC Service-Learning Showcase recognizes the efforts and achievements of these students in the past year. We hope that you enjoy the 2022 NECC Service Learning Showcase.

What was the Service-Learning Project?
Students selected a social issue of interest. Each student worked on this issue for eight hours during the semester either through doing service with a community organization or through designing their own service project. Students completed two written reflections relating their service to concepts and theory taught in the class, as well as incorporated the social issue into their final for the class. In total, two sections of this class completed 264 hours of service.
