A student exploration of the environmental impacts of groundwater pollution at Los Alamos National Laboratory and on surrounding sacred lands

During this project students explored ground water contamination at LANL and expressed their learnings on this topic in the following mediums: film, presentations, posters, brochures & art.

Artist Statement: After learning about Los Alamos National Labs and the pollution effects that their careless lack of responsibility and regulation has created, we wanted to represent some of these results through art. With Bess McAlpin’s collage, Revely Rothschild’s print, and Emma Tsosie’s photograph, we aimed to show our own interpretations of what these effects actually look like or could look like.
