Due to a resignation, one of these positions will begin immediately after the AECT election in order to assist the President Elect with conference planning and assume the role of President Elect at the 2021 AECT Conference. The second person elected will take on the role of the President-Elect Designate at the 2021 Conference.
The President-Elect Designate shall:
Assist President-Elect with conference planning and other duties assigned to President-Elect
Assist CLT projects, such as IRCEES collaboration
Plan division events and activities for the AECT Convention Welcome Reception
Position Qualifications:
Be a current member of CLT.
Have a background that includes volunteer work with CLT, or volunteer work within another Division or SIG. (If person is new and/or returning to AECT consider their work in other organizations or profession to assess their potential for office.)
Demonstrate ability to perform duties based on background and interests.
The President-Elect shall:
Serve as member of the AECT convention planning committee.
Oversee CLT convention planning, including:
Distribution of call for proposals,
Coordination of proposal reviews,
Notification of proposal acceptances and rejections,
Assignment of session slots;
Selection of CLT Luncheon menu, and Luncheon award presentation and speakers; and
Assignment of session facilitators
Identification of nominees for McJulien Best Paper award
Position Qualifications:
Be a current member of CLT.
Be most recent President-Elect-Designate
The V.P. of Awards shall:
Maintain and update award descriptions and judging rubrics.
Create descriptions for new awards as needed.
Establish/maintain a committee(s) to support judging of award submissions
Oversee the award coordination for CLT
Oversee the process for selection of winners of the annual CLT Awards.
Appoint chairs to manage the judging of each individual award as well as seek input from the Board, VP Research and Publications and the President-Elect (i.e., conference planner for the convention year).
Report award winners to CLT Board for ratification.
Report ratified award winners to AECT.
Prepare award letters for signing and distribution to awardees by CLT President
Position Qualifications:
Be a current member of CLT.
Demonstrate ability to perform duties based on background and interests.
The V.P. of Finance and Development shall:
Keep a record of the finances of CLT
Provide an-updated financial report at each Board and Membership meeting.
Identify division fundraising and grant opportunities
Oversee division fundraising and grant projects
Position Qualifications:
Be a current member of CLT.
Demonstrate ability to perform duties based on background and interests.
Oversee research and publication opportunities.
Disseminate research and publication opportunities to the board and membership
Position Qualifications:
Be a current member of CLT.
Demonstrate ability to perform duties based on background and interests.
Welcome new members to the division
Approve new member requests on CLT Facebook page
Follow members on CLT Twitter account and re-tweet as appropriate
Maintain accurate membership numbers
Plan and supervise division membership drives and growth initiatives
Position Qualifications:

Attend AECT Board meetings.
Attend CLT Board meetings.
Communicate information from CLT to the AECT Board.
Communicate information from AECT Board to the CLT.

The GSA Representative shall:
Be a member of the GSA and CLT
Serve as liaison between GSA and CLT.
Plan division activities to serve graduate students, including conference sessions and convention welcome reception
