October 7 to 9, 2021 Live via Via Virtual Conference

This year's 4th Information and Computing Education Conference (CSP-ICE 2021) of the Special Interest Group on Information and Computing Education (SPICE) under the Computing Society of the Philippines (CSP) and hosted by Southern Leyte State University, is a back to back conference event in collaboration with the Special Interest Group on Artificial Intelligence (SIG-AI) and the Special Interest Group on Women In Computing (SIG-WIC).

ICE 2021 will have a hybrid format. In fact, for this year, we are in one with our country's primal direction: the "National Artificial Intelligence (AI) Strategy", which provides an actionable guide on harnessing AI's potential to uplift Filipinos, our local industries, and our Economy. Connecting with this strategical direction, Day 1 will cover talks about shaping and aligning Computing Education with the Philippine AI Roadmap. Speakers from DTI, National Center for AI Research, will deliver active discussions. In response, the different Technical Panel members of the various Computing Programs from CHED will give out their proposed specialization tracks aligning to AI. In the afternoon, a workshop on Course exemplars sponsored by the different Centers of Excellence in IT/ Computing (UP D/B, DLSI, ADMU, NU, CITU, USJ-R, etc.).

Day 2, sponsored by the SIG-AI, will be a research presentation of submitted/ accepted papers on the topics but are not limited to:

And the best takeaway this year for us in Computing Education are the specialization tracks that we can use and integrate into our respective computing program deliveries. In addition, we will also be having a Consultative Session for the offering of the Bachelor of Science in Data Science, which the Commission on Higher Education will manage.

This event is FREE for CSP members. And if you are not, and you would want to attend, we encourage you to be a member by paying Php 800.00. For authors of accepted papers/ posters, the registration fee is Php 1,500.00. And for the undergraduate students, it's Php 100.00.
