To the Deans and Programs Heads of Schools, Colleges and Universities offering the BS Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science Program:

The Philippine Association of Medical Technologists, Inc. (PAMET), along with all Medical Technology practitioners nationwide will be celebrating the 39^th Medical Technology Week with the theme: “Enhancing Competencies, Developing Philippine Laboratory Leaders”.

This week-long celebration will be highlighted by the “1^st Virtual Medical Technology Inter-School Quiz Show” which will be participated by Medical Technology students from schools all over the country. This activity aims to develop the camaraderie and sportsmanship among Medical Technology students through a fair academic competition. Likewise, this will create awareness on the importance of Medical Technologists in the healthcare delivery system.

We believe that your institution strongly supports the advancement of the Medical Technology profession. Thus, the Committee on Quiz Show would like to invite your school to send a team of three (3) academically excellent 3^rd and/or 4^th year students plus one (1) alternate student in this year’s event which is slated on September 18, 2020 (Friday) 1:00 – 5:00 PM.

Due to the social-distancing restrictions brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, we would like to request that your respective school premises be the venue of the event. The following are the additional requirements for the virtual quiz show:

· (1) Laptop or Desktop with webcam for the live-streaming via Zoom platform

Minimum OS requirement:

- Mac OS X with Mac OS 10.10 or higher

- Windows 7 or higher

Minimum Hardware requirements:

- 2.5 GHz Dual Core Intel Core i5 and higher desktop CPU (single screen)

- Dual bank RAM for better performance

· Stable internet connection (10 MBps bandwidth or higher)

· Zoom account (which will be used by the team)

· (1) Smartphone/tablet (as buzzer)

Minimum OS:

- iPhone iOS 8.0 or higher

- iPadOS 13 or higher

- Android 5.0x or higher

· Optional: Bluetooth speakers

Please submit entries not later than August 31, 2020. We will send the CHED endorsement/memorandum for this activity once released.
