The Environmental Communication Teaching Program is a year-long professional development system that addresses classroom strategies for supporting communication with students who have the most significant deficits in communication. Participating districts send teams to meet together four times during a school year; learning strategies, planning implementation activities, video taping students and sharing outcomes with each other. These are truly professional learning communities. Additional training and support is provided to facilitators for an additional year to support a second year of follow-up activities.
See the Student Stories on the AT Services page for examples of student outcomes.
