A quick answer to your questions. No, I did not visit Sydney, Perth, etc. Not enough time. I wanted to do Tasmania as well. Put those places in the check box for next time.

In Melbourne, visited the Lakes District, and toured the Great Ocean Road

At Uluru, visited Ayers (Airs) Rock, the Olgas, the McDonnell Ranges and Alice Springs

In Cairns (Cans), visited Daintree Rainforest, Great Barrier Reef and the Tablelands
