    The 2000 Junior Miss Pageant was a national scholarship program for high school senior girls in the United States. The program was founded in 1958 and was later renamed as Distinguished Young Women in 2010. The 2000 Junior Miss Pageant was held in Mobile, Alabama, and was hosted by Deborah Norville, a former Junior Miss herself. The pageant featured 50 state representatives who competed in five categories: scholastics, interview, talent, fitness, and self-expression. The winner of the pageant received a $50,000 scholarship and the title of America's Junior Miss 2000.
