Code of Conduct

We are committed that all participants benefit from a safe and respectful environment for the full duration of the conference and associated social activities. We aim to offer equal treatment to everyone regardless of their gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, nationality, disability, physical appearance, socio-economic background, age, religion, or any other factor. Any form of discrimination or harassment will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Verbal, written, or physical behavior and language that is welcome or acceptable to one individual may be unwelcome or offensive to another. It is therefore important to use extra care to ensure that your words and/or actions communicate respect for one another.

If a participant engages in any form of discriminatory or harassing behavior, the organizers will take appropriate action, from warning the offender to banning them from the conference venue.

If you experience harassment of any kind, made feel uncomfortable with the way you are being treated, notice someone else being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact Sara Ayhan (personally or at sara.ayhan@rub.de) or any other member of the Organizing Committee. All reports will be handled in the strictest confidentiality and will be taken seriously. No action will be taken that you do not explicitly agree to. If you are not comfortable contacting the Organizing Committee yourself, consider talking to a trusted friend or colleague and approaching the organizers together. The organizers are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all conference participants.

By electing to attend the conference we assume that you tacitly agree to this code of conduct.

We value your attendance and wish you a safe and enjoyable conference.
