Brown...........8/2010 - Current Battalion CommanderWhen I took command of MIBARS, Major John Betz was the ACTING Commander. The appointed commander that I relieved was a Major with a Japanese name who left a month or two before I arrived.. To the best of my knowledge, Major Betz was never appointed as the MIBARS commander. He commanded the battation as an "ACTING" commander between regularly appointed commanders, but was never on written orders appointing him as the CO. –Michael Tymchak
