George Walker was a Capt when I first met him at Holabird, where he was in the class behind me in the Aerial Surveillance Officers
Course. I graduated in May 62 and I assume that he was two or three months behind me. I went directly to Korea and who showed up in the 502nd MI Bn but George. Since he had originally been a Quartermaster Officer, he got stuck as the Bn S-4. A great choice for that job, which just about nobody wanted in a MI Bn. I pretty much lost contact with George, but ran into him a time or two either in the
Pentagon or at Arlington Hall Station. I do know that he retired as a B/Gen. Have no idea what caused his death.
