I married my high school sweetheart, Cheryl, and we're still together. We have one daughter, one son and two grandchildren.

Cheryl worked for some electronics companies and settled down with Intel as a Material Specialist. She retired in 2000.

I worked as a Camera Department manager for 5 years, 2 months and 2 days. I got totally burned out on photography, sold some equipment and all my darkroom equipment. In 1977 I found another job before submitting my resignation and took a $50 a week cut in pay for the new job. That was a bunch of money in 1977! The new job was Packager at Tektronix (Tek). Tektronix founder invented the ocilloscope and the company makes electronic test and measurement equipment. As packager I'm the one who puts stuff in boxes that when you take it out you can't put it back in the box. While at Tek I became an Equipment Service Technician who works on the production equipment to keep it humming. Through the years I advanced to Senior Equipment Service Technician. I got to see and work with many cutting edge improvements in the electronics industry, surface mount technology, fiber optic transmission of electronic information, ball grid array technology, packaging of chips and many others. My final position was in Quality Engineering as the ESD Program Administrator for the (circuit) Board Build Division of Tek. While in this position I got to do some traveling doing audits and giving presentations on the effects of ElectroStatic Discharge on sensitive electronic components. I stayed with Tek for 24 years and retired in 2001 at age 52. YEAH!

My wife, Cheryl, got this Cougar for me in 1990 for my birthday. It was complete and a daily driver but needed a lot of work. I was going to use it for driving to work on nice days and just cruising around in until I found out how rare the GT is (5,791). That's when I decided to restore it back to stock and only get it out when it's nice enough to have the windows down and the oldies playing on the radio. I did all the work myself except for painting the body and upholstering the seats. The car was judged in Street Stock and Street Coucours through 1997 and then I decided to start playing with it. I did a period customization, something that I would have liked to have done if I had it in the late '60s and early '70s. Everything I've done can be changed back to stock as I have all the stock parts stored away.

In the summer of 2007 we took it to the 40th Anniversary Cougar Nationals in Denver, Colorado. The car has never been trailered but this time we met up with an open trailer about four hours drive time from our house. We couldn't have made it through Wyoming in 105 degree heat and no air conditioner. We would have melted. We drive the car about 2,000 miles a year to shows and cruise-ins or to just go for a ride in the country.

I'm also a computer gamer and I play first person shooters mostly. I play a real mean game of Call of Duty on line so if you think you're up to the challange just let me know.

I also enjoy building computers, wood and metal working, hunting, fishing, all the normal stuff. I'm also certified for open water diving.
