Vendor Guidelines
Welcome to First Fridays Norristown! We are thrilled to have you join us for our monthly celebration of community, creativity, and commerce. To ensure a smooth and successful experience for everyone involved, we have outlined the following guidelines for all participating vendors. Please take a moment to review these guidelines carefully.
Why These Guidelines Matter
Our goal is to create a safe, enjoyable, and memorable event for all attendees and participants. By adhering to these guidelines, you help maintain the high standards of quality and professionalism that make First Fridays Norristown a beloved community event.
General Requirements
Application and Approval: All vendors must complete an application and receive approval from the event organizers prior to participation. Space is limited, so early application is encouraged.
Permits and Licenses: Vendors are responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and licenses required by local authorities. This includes health permits for food vendors and sales tax permits for retail vendors.
Setup and Teardown: Vendors must adhere to the designated setup and teardown times. Setup begins at 2 PM and must be completed by 3:45 PM. Teardown begins at 8 PM and must be completed by 9 PM. Please ensure your booth is fully operational by the start time and cleared promptly at the end.
Booth Presentation: All booths should be clean, organized, and visually appealing. Signage should be professional and clearly display your business name and prices. We encourage creative and engaging booth designs to attract attendees.
Product Quality: All products sold must be of high quality and accurately represented. Any items deemed inappropriate or unsafe will not be permitted.
Health and Safety
Food Safety: Food vendors must comply with all health and safety regulations. This includes proper food handling, storage, and disposal. Handwashing stations and sanitizers must be readily available at your booth.
Electrical Safety: If your booth requires electricity, ensure all cords and equipment are safely secured and not posing any tripping hazards. Electrical needs must be communicated in advance to accommodate your setup.
Emergency Procedures: Be aware of the emergency procedures and nearest exits. In case of any emergency, follow the instructions of event staff and local authorities.
Vendor Conduct
Professionalism: Vendors are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner at all times. This includes interactions with attendees, fellow vendors, and event staff.
Noise Levels: Keep noise levels to a minimum to ensure a pleasant experience for all. Amplified sound is only permitted with prior approval.
Respect for Space: Be mindful of your booth space and avoid encroaching on neighboring vendors. Keep your area tidy and dispose of all waste properly.
By following these guidelines, you help us maintain the high standards that make First Fridays Norristown a cherished event. Thank you for your cooperation and for contributing to the success of our community celebration. We look forward to a fantastic event with your participation!
