Have you always wanted to play the guitar but never quite got around to it?

Maybe you played guitar a few years ago and would like to start again?

I offer a comprehensive, flexible course, starting from the very basics of how to hold and tune the guitar. The focus is on playing the guitar; we progress at your pace, and learn songs that you know and enjoy.

Lessons are relaxed, lasting around one hour, separated by a week or two during which you'll have exercises and songs to play that reinforce your learning. Lessons can be in my comfortable, well-equipped studio, or in your home.

The musical style is mostly acoustic guitar, covering folk, blues, jazz, rock, flamenco and some classical.

Guitar lessons could be the ideal present for the frustrated air guitarist!

I'm Paul Biggins, a semi-pro musician with 30-odd years experience of playing guitar, bass and keyboards in various bands including ZOO and The Waterboatmen.

Recent collaborations include Guy Barker, Nick Smart, Ian Beestin, Jonathan Curtis, John Sanderson, Wendy Kirkland, Pat Sprakes, Steve Salfield, Sara Littlefield and Clive Loveday.

I'm also a writer, composer and sound engineer, and help with live music broadcasts from Peterborough City Radio (PCRFM) twice a week.

I'm a member of musicteachers.co.uk, and can provide references from previous students.
