The scientific and academic partnership between Brazil and France in the area of Nanotechnology dates back at least to the late 1980s, when numerous researchers in the area were trained, and today they are references in the area in Brazil. Perhaps, due to the number of PhDs trained, the main partnership is with the Galien Paris Sud Institute (currently called the Galien Paris Saclay Institute), but new partnerships have been sought.
In this context, the partnership between the Federal University of Bahia and the Université de Lorraine is presented. This partnership began as part of a CAPES-COFECUB Project coordinated by Professor Sócrates Egito from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte and which also includes the Federal University of Itajubá and the Université de Lyon as members.
Therefore, the 1st Brazil-France Meeting on Nano(bio)technology Applied to Health seeks to consolidate the partnership between the two universities through the presentation of work by researchers participating in the international network and other regional networks, which allow the advancement of Nanobiotechnology applied to Health in both countries.
