Our school began in 2005 as a one room school serving 1st through 8th grade. Between 2017 and 2024, the school underwent some changes, and now serves children from 3K through fifth grade. There is one teacher for 3K-K, and another for grades 1-5. Both classrooms foster collaboration, allowing students of different abilities to learn from each other in a supportive, family-like atmosphere where we celebrate each child's God-given talents.
Integrating God's Word daily helps students develop strong moral values, empathy, responsibility, and sense of purpose. This builds character and a faith that extends beyond the classroom to prepare them for the eternal life awaiting all who believe.
With fewer students per classroom and multiple ages, teachers can build stronger relationships with each child. Students learn to build relationships with their younger and older peers, which prepares them for real-world workplaces.
Students benefit from exposure to a broader range of skills and knowledge. Younger students are motivated by seeing advanced work, while older students reinforce their understanding by teaching others. Students can also easily be grouped at their developmental level, regardless of age or grade, without any stigmatism.
Teachers tailor instruction to meet the individual needs of the students. All strategies used in the classroom are research-based or have been proven effective by the experience of our fantastic teachers.
Group play, sharing, and cooperation activities to develop social skills and emotional intelligence are allowed and encouraged every day. Students in grades 1-5 have 3 outside recesses a day and are allowed and encouraged to use their imaginations.
