1Chat Recover ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our app handles your information when you use our messaging recovery service.
1Chat Recover operates on a strict local-only model:

When you grant notification access permission, 1Chat Recover collects:
Message text from message notifications
Sender names and contact information
Conversation/group chat titles

App identifiers (to identify message messages)
All information is collected locally through Android's Notification Listener Service API. This data is captured only from notifications that appear on your device and is immediately stored in your device's local database.
The collected notification data is used solely to:
Display message history in the app interface
Allow you to view messages that may have been deleted in message
Organize messages by conversation and sender
Provide search functionality within your saved messages
All data is stored exclusively in a local SQLite database on your device
The database is accessible only by the 1Chat Recover app
Data never leaves your device
No cloud backup or synchronization occurs
Your message data is protected by your device's built-in security features
The app uses Android's secure storage mechanisms
Data is not encrypted separately as it never leaves your device
We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your data to any third parties.
Since all data remains on your device:
No data is transmitted to our servers (we don't have any)
No data is shared with advertisers or analytics services
No data is sold or monetized in any way
No user accounts or profiles are created
You have full control over your data:
View all saved messages anytime within the app
See total message count in Settings
Delete individual conversations by long-pressing them
Clear all data at once via Settings → "Clear All Data"
Uninstalling the app removes all stored data permanently
Disable notification access permission at any time to stop data collection
The app will no longer capture new notifications once permission is revoked

1Chat Recover does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is designed for general audiences and does not have age-specific features. Parents and guardians should supervise children's use of the app.

1Chat Recover is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any org., or any other messaging service. The app simply reads notifications generated by these apps using Android's standard notification system.
Users are responsible for complying with local laws and regulations regarding message recording and privacy. In some jurisdictions, recording or saving messages without consent may be restricted. Users should ensure their use of this app complies with applicable laws.

Accuracy or completeness of captured messages
Messages that may not be captured due to technical limitations
Any consequences arising from use of saved messages

1Chat Recover is a completely local app. When messages arrive as notifications, we save them on your phone so you can view them later—even if they get deleted. We don't send your messages anywhere, we don't track you, and we don't make money from your data. Everything stays private on your device, and you can delete it all whenever you want.
