Rafts to The mysterious island

Setting out from El Dorado, guests who have tickets to both parks (Disneyland and Lost Kingdoms) may hop on a series of rafts and travel down a river to get to the Disneyland park, entering specifically through Adventure Atoll, the first true "Lost World" at the resort.

The sundial

The weenie of the park, the sundial is a sun-shaped time-teller that is situated on an island within the central lagoon. While not a functional sundial, the legend of this mysterious artifact is this:

When Dr. Everett Erie vanished in the passage, little was ever recovered from him. Only two things were ever found: his parrot, Congo, who somehow managed to survive and fly all the way back to Erie's home, alerting Erie's wife of Erie's disappearance, and a sundial. This sundial was frozen solid into the ice and when rescue teams attempted to free it, the broke off a chunk and lost the entire sundial into the ocean, never to be seen again.

While it's clear there is no sundial in the center of the lake, any ship captain will even tell you so, many guests can't help but see it, shining brightly, large as a star. Some claim it's proof that Dr. Everett Erie somehow survived and the sundial is a piece of him shown to those true of heart, but others say that's just a common wives tale. Why don't you decide for yourself?
