1973/1974 Plymouth Road Runner GTX

If you ordered the Road Runner with the optional 440 cubic inch - 4 barrel engine, your Road Runner became a Road Runner GTX. Extra GTX badging signified the largest Mopar power plant available resided under the hood. Starting in the 1973 model year, only the 727 Torqueflite automatic transmission was available behind the 440 cubic  inch engine.

1973/1974 Plymouth Road Runner

With insurance rates rising on big block cars, performance was on the way out and economy and luxury were the new buzz words for car sales. Starting in the 1973 model year, the base engine for the Road Runner was the venerable 318 cubic inch small block. For those that wanted a little more umph, you could option the 340 4bbl (in 1973), the 360 4bbl (in 1974), and the 400 cu. inch big block both years, along with a choice of standard and automatic transmissions.

1973/1974 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus

For the economy and luxury minded, the Satellite Sebring Plus was the top end car in the pedestrian Satellite line. Usually equipped with some nicer options, the Sebring Plus also came with bucket seats and the rallye guage dash cluster as standard. The 318 cu. inch engine was standard, but the Plus could be ordered with all but the 440 cu. inch engine. Standard and automatic transmissions were available.

1973/1974 Plymouth Satellite Regent Wagon

The Regent station wagon came in both 6 passenger and 9 passenger configurations. Regent came standard with the rallye guage dash cluster and high back bench seat with folding arm rest. The 318 cu. inch engine was standard, with the 360 cu. inch and 400 cu. inch engines optional.

1973/1974 Plymouth Satellite Sebring

The Satellite Sebring was the mid range model in the 2-door line up. A bench seat and horizontal guage set up were standard on the Sebrings. Both the 225 cu. inch 6 cylinder and the 318 cu. inch V8 were considered the standard engine for the Sebring model. The 400 cu. inch engine was optional.

1974 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Sundance Edition

The Sundance Edition came in just two colors, Sundance Metallic and Spinnaker White, and sported special Sundance graphics. It also came with a special Sundance interior pattern.


1973/1974 Plymouth Satellite Custom Sedan

Sebring's mid range counterpart was the Custom model. Customers could choose between the economical slant 6 or the 318 cu. inch V8 as the standard engine. 

1973/1974 Plymouth Satellite Custom Station Wagon

The Custom Wagon was available in 6 passenger and 9 passenger configurations. The 318 cu. inch V8 was the standard engine for the station wagon line up.

1973/1974 Plymouth Satellite Coupe

The Satellite Coupe was Plymouth's economy 2-door offering. A brand new slant 6 bench seat bare bones coupe could be purchased for $2755 in 1973 and $3155 in 1974.
