Dr. Lillian Rich opened an office at the former Mansfield office at the corner of Walnut and High Streets.

The Reporter purchased its first camera for taking news pictures.

The city council adopted daylight savings time.

The new U.S. census total for Washington was 2,456 residents.

William & Emma Petri sold their grocery store in September and retired after 37 years in the business.  William unfortunately would pass away before year's end.

Peter Garber sold his interest in the Garber garage to Ralph Belsly.
