After completing staff ministry certification at Martin Luther College in 2005, Marilyn was blessed with a call to the congregation that has been her home for 50 years. In 2017, she retired from Abiding Word in Houston to begin yet another phase of life. In 2007, Marilyn was asked to serve as the charter chairman of WELS Women's Ministry, an extremely fulfilling role. In Nov 2019 she handed the leadership of that committee over to a younger, exceptionally talented woman; But Women's Ministry remains a huge part of Marilyn's life as she has been working on a number of special projects. The first to come to fruition is an online module to Teach Women to Teach the Word, which was recently released by WELS Congregational Services and is available on wels.net. Marilyn's passion is serving her Lord and helping others grow in faith by studying God’s Word
