183rd Air Assault Realism Unit Overview:

The 183rd Air Assault Realism Unit is a unit based upon a United States Army Air Assault Division. Our main focus is to ensure that our members are having the most realistic experience possible whilst playing Arma 3. Although we strive for the most realistic experience we also make sure our members are continuously having as much fun as possible.

In the 183rd Air Assault Realism Unit there are several different MOS/Jobs to choose from within the unit. We have everything from your 11-B Infantryman, 68 Whiskey Combat Medic, to a fast flying Combat Aviator. We also have other supporting positions up to 19-D Cavalry Scouts, 25-C Radio Telephone Operator, 15-T Blackhawk Crew Chief and many more. Overall we have many things here for incoming recruits to choose from. Even if you don't like your first choice you can always switch it up and transfer to something more suitable for you. Our operations are beyond spectacular. We do everything from quick fast-roping operations to the day to day foot patrol around a nearby village or town. When we deploy to a region we are in deployment for three to four months and when we come off of deployment we go on a two month Field Training Exercise Period to enhance our skills and combat effectiveness.

In conclusion here at the 183rd Air Assault Realism Unit we make the most out of Arma 3 and provide nothing but the best for our members. Rules and Expectations

In the 183rd Air Assault Realism Unit our members are expected to act with the utmost professionalism in and out of game. Whilst serving in the unit you are expected to adhere to the traditions and expectations of serving in a United States Army Air Assault Division.
Whilst serving in the 183rd Air Assault Realism Unit you are expected to respect ALL members of the unit. Even if the person is a Lower Grade rank than yourself.
Any Racist, Stereotypical, Sexist remarks of any type or any form of sexual harassment is strictly prohibited from the 183rd Air Assault Realism Unit. Being caught or reported doing such actions will result in a Dishonorable Discharge from the unit immediately.
Not Utilizing the Chain of Command can result in an Article 15. Repeat offenses can result in an Other Than Honorable Discharge from the Unit
Any kind of bribery attempts to make deals and/or contracts that would result in ranking up unfairly or unofficially can result in a demotion and/or Other Than Honorable Discharge from the unit for both parties involved
The only way to rank up in the unit is to attend Training, FTXs, and Official Operations. Please keep in mind that all rank-ups and promotion points go through S-1 and Command Staff for approval. So we will know if something doesn’t look or sound right.
Members of the 183rd Air Assault Realism Unit are expected to train regularly and utilize the forums for information regarding the unit. Asking someone a question verbally that could have been answered by utilizing the forums/website can result in a Article 15

Website/Discord

Members need to look at the website/discord at least twice a week. Members are recommended to try to look at the website and their messages daily for new updates.

Personnel Section

This section is where all members need to put their Leave of Absence, Lateral Transfer Request, and Resignation. Members also have a place for General Discussion where members can ask questions and place comments. Please do not use this section as a basing area against other members.

Leave of Absence

Leave of Absence needs to be placed as soon as you know the days of your leave. You need to place a leave of absence if you will be gone for more than a week.

Lateral transfer request

Lateral transfer requests can be placed at any time; note just because you place a lateral transfer does not mean it will be approved. You can only lateral transfer once a month and it is up to the HQ of the losing and gaining unit to be approved.

Unit Members

This section shows all the members in the 183rd Air Assault and their placement in the unit. All members need to make sure the rank is correct in this section.

Calendar

The 183rd Air Assault calendar will be updated with all 183rd events and training. members need to sign up for all events they will be attending. If members will not be able to attend they need to put their status has Not Attending which be can selected by the set status button on the bottom of the event

Chain of Command

This section will describe the chain of command regarding all sections of the unit from the infantry to the air. This style of chain of command should be followed at all times.

Rules of Engagements

183rd Air Assaults follow a Strict Rules of Engagements Policy. Members caught breaking these engagement rules can and will be subject to disciplinary actions depending on the severity of the break
Don’t shoot unarmed personnel
Don't shoot within 50 meters within a religious building with small arms, or within 200m with explosive ordinance.
Do not shoot unless they show hostile intent or are directly harming you.
Do not shoot medical vehicles or personnel
Check friendly positions before using grenades in urban environments. Also keep larger explosives to a minimum in an urban environment.
It is up to the Task Force Commander's discretion to change the rules of engagement at any time of an operation, but only on a case-by-case basis.
