We are pleased to announce that the 16th Australasian Public Choice Conference (APCC) will be held at Deakin University on 20th and 21st November 2025.
We invite papers from academics, researchers, and graduate students in areas related to public choice and political economy, including their applications to fields such as economic development, macroeconomics, environmental economics, international trade, health economics, gender economics, behavioural economics, and others. The papers can be theoretical, empirical, or experimental.
Authors are encouraged to submit a complete paper or an extended abstract along with a title, names of all authors, affiliation, and contact information of the corresponding author. Email submissions to sundar.ponnusamy@deakin.edu.au with 'Submission to 16th APCC' in the subject line.
The deadline for submission is 31st August 2025 (revised due date) .
Professor Jessica Pan is Vice Provost (Graduate Education) at the National University of Singapore (NUS). She is also Dean of NUS Graduate School (NUSGS). A labour economist by training, Prof Pan is highly recognised for her research on applied topics in gender, education, and immigration. Prof Pan currently serves as Co-Editor of the Journal of Public Economics. She is also Secretary (President-designate) of the Asian and Australasian Society of Labor Economics.

Professor Maitra's primary areas of research are Development Economics, Applied Econometrics, Experimental Economics, and Political Economy. Professor Maitra has published in top economics journals and has been the chief investigator on successful grant applications from USAID, AUSAID, the International Growth Centre (IGC), the Australian Research Council (ARC), the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, among others.
