Kiley Irizarry crafted this mock magazine article endorsing a fictional Britney Spears Senate Campaign to combine her love of pop culture and politics. This article riffs on the conventions of 90s and 2000s teen magazines such as Tiger Beat, Seventeen, and Teen People while combining it with the conventions of political endorsements from “esteemed” magazines such as Vogue and Time. This magazine uses many Britney Spears puns while also focusing on issues that will appeal to young voters.
Sabrina Staab developed this multigenre campaign for her ENC 2135 class in Spring 2024, focusing on health and wellness. Through a wellness calendar, a podcast on intermittent fasting, and an automated text subscription, she strategically engages audiences across different platforms to inform, entertain, and inspire healthier lifestyles. Each artifact employs genre-specific conventions and rhetorical strategies to persuade individuals to take control of their lives and well-being.
Amber Bixby created this research poster to discuss the trend of nostalgia in popular teen television shows and film as a response to media saturation and a longing for an idealized past that seems less complicated than our present. Amber developed this poster as an example for those in the Humanities who want to present their but are unsure of where to start in the design process and incorporated a 1950s theme to reflect the subject matter discussed in the paper.
Unal:veN is a participatory narrative that examines the myriad ways technology shapes our perceptions of selfhood, death, memory, and grief, adding to the recent discourse surrounding digital memorialization. The project is a collaboration between Janna Ahrndt, Maggie Smith, and Sam Rosenberg.
Follow Sid Nguyen on a journey through rediscovering what is hidden in plain sight. From micro to macro, there are countless ways that both public and private entities work to strip the individual of their digital privacy, eroding the very meaning so that we are none the wiser. Through works of both creativity and information, Sid attempts to bring forth more knowledge on this issue, the framework of which is laid out in this article.

Taryn Maund created her Multigenre Campaign for her ENC2135 class. This project demonstrates her skills and understanding of digital design.
