Kickoff Happy Hour! 3:30 until ???

Join with all your Cove friends for a sunny lakeside Happy Hour on Thursday afternoon, starting about 3:30pm. We'll gather at the beachside cabana near Lakeside Restaurant on the Cove Terrace lawn.

It's a BYOB affair, so please bring your favorite beverages and a SMALL finger food / appetizer / snack to share with the group.

In case of rain or lousy weather (not likely!), meet us at Old Cheeks near the East Pool.

Mixed Doubles Tournament

• Mixed Doubles “B” & 70+ Brackets Check-In ENDS at 8:15am

• Mixed Doubles “A” & “Open” Brackets Check-In ENDS at 9:30am

• Medals presentation & tournament raffle at the close of competition.

• Post-tournament celebration Happy Hour.

For All Competition Events:

• You must BRING YOUR OWN PARTNER, and they must be STANDING NEXT TO YOU when you come to Tournament Central to check-in.

• The tournament will be a round-robin format for the prelims and a single-elimination 4-team finals round for the top 4 teams. Our goal is for every team to play around 66 points of pickleball in the prelims, and then another 30 points in the finals if they advance.

• PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Click here to pre-register BEFORE MARCH 16, 2026.

• REGISTRATION IS FREE for all paid-up members of the Cove Pickleball Club. Non-members pay $25 per event at check-in. 

• Not a member? Join the Club for just $20 and enter all our tournaments all year long for free, and support the Club and the growth of pickleball at Cypress Cove! Click here to join and pay online in minutes!

After the Sunday events, join your fellow competitors for a post-tournament Happy Hour by the courts, and then frolic off to the pool for a refreshing clothes-free cool-down!

Rain / weather: In case of rain or adverse weather on tournament day, we will take up to a 1-hour delay if needed. After the first weather delay, the tournament director may take another 30-minute delay if conditions are likely to improve. At the end of the second delay, if there is no chance of completing the tournament safely, the tournament will be cancelled. 

Ball: The tournament ball will be the Vulcan VPRO Flight Gen 2 Outdoor in Hi-Viz yellow.

Need a Partner?

Here's our advice to anyone needing a partner, in order of effectiveness:

1. Hang around the Cove Pickleball Club complex in the days and weeks leading up to the tournament, and look promiscuous. Act needy. Ask around. Try desperation if you have to.

2. Hop on the Cove Pickleball Club Facebook group and post your needs, wants and desires there. Not on the group yet? Send us an email at info@covepickleballclub.com and we’ll see what we can do. Group membership is limited to paid-up members of the Club who have played at Cypress Cove.

3. If all else fails, send us an email at info@covepickleballclub.com  and tell us for which event(s) you are seeking a partner. A few days before the tournament, we’ll email you with some hot prospects, and you can battle it out on your own for their attention.

4. Last, best hope: show up early on the morning of competition. There are usually always some players who just rock up and need a partner, and you might get lucky!
