The Venues

The best way to get to the symposium (Humanistiska teatern, Engelska Parken) from the city center is by bus or taxi. It is also a relatively short walking distance (~1.5 km, ~20 min). The most convinient option to get from the central station is buses 2 or 7, starting from Uppsala Stadshuset and finishing Uppsala Slottsbacken. The workshops will take place in Biomedical Centrum (BMC). One can enter the SciLifeLab section of the building. The room is called "Triple room" and located on the first floor. Also see the "mazemap" to find the room inside the building on the "Workshops" page of this website.

It is possible to get to Uppsala by bus (UL 801), train and taxi. The bus is the cheapest option, it takes approximately 50 minutes to get to the central station. It departs every 30 minutes from the bus stop in fromt of the terminal 4 (the rightmost stop, if we look at the stops from the entrance). Trains are significantly faster, but cost 1.5-2 times more. The tickets for both can be bought via UL webpage or app. The ticket for the train can be also bought at the round desk in front of the entrance to the train station. A bus ticket can be bought from the driver (occasionally terminal does not work and then the driver won't be able to sell a ticket).

Lunch will be served at Matikum, in ~100-200 meters from the Humanities theatre. The announcement will be made and there will be people to follow.
