Eid e Milad Celebrations in Pakistan

Sunni Muslims around the globe are preparing to celebrat the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) that is also known as Eid e Miad. But the question that rises is, when to celebrate Jashn-Eid-Milad-un-Nabi.

Well, it is celebrated every year on 12 Rabi ul Awal as per Islamic Calendar. It is the fourth month in the calendar and its celebration date varies in different countries because of the moon sighting.

There is a contradiction of celebration of this event between Sunni and Shia Muslims. Sunni community believe that Pyare Nabi (Sallalah Hu AlaihiwAslaam) was born on 12th, where as Shia community that HIS date of birth is 17th Rabi ul Awal.
