The Mating Season
19 - Wooster Trouble
Making his way to Deveril Hall on foot Bertie encounters Esmond Haddock, who tells him that he has developed an intense dislike of the man Wooster because of the way he behaves with regard to Corky, coupled with his reputation of stealing policemen's helmets. Bertie's efforts to talk it down only serve to increase Esmond's suspicion, and he tells Bertie in no uncertain terms that he, in his capacity as Justice of the Peace, has informed Dobson that Wooster must immediately be apprehended should he be found guilty of the slightiest misdemeaner. Praying for Jeeves to get him out of this mess Bertie is intensely relieved to see him appear.
