Jeeves comes in, and mr. Stoker accuses him of having assisted Bertie in escaping from the yacht. Jeeves counters by telling him that he has actually done him a service because by keeping Bertie on his yacht against his will mr. Stoker ran the risk of criminal persecution. Mr. Stoker succumbs to the argument and wants to speak to Bertie. Jeeves directs him to the Dower House. Bertie, still behind the desk, again wants to go for Chuffy's breakfast when Pauline walks in. Talking to Jeeves she says that she has decided not to marry Bertie after all. After Jeeves has left Pauline starts at Chffy's breakfast. Then Bertie rises up from behind the desk. Pauline cries out at the sight of his face, Bertie hides behind the sofa again, and then the door opens and Chuffy comes in. He and Pauline embrace.
