Aunt Agatha comes to Roville in the south of France to hold Bertie on account for his mistreating Sir Roderick Glossop  and finds her pearls missing from her hotel room. They have been stolen by Soapy Sid and his accomplice Aline, whom  Bertie was having a romantic fling with. Jeeves solves it all to the content of the hotel owner.
