Bertie goes to Marvis Bay with Freddie Bullivant whose fiancée Elizabeth Vickers is avoiding him. On the beach Bertie spots Elizabeth playing with a child. Thinking she is his aunt, he takes the child away for Freddie to return him to her and  so they get reunited. But the child is not related to her at all, the family he is staying with has mumps and will not let him in so  Bertie and Jeeves are stuck with him. They train the kid to cry "Kiss Freddie". On hearing the kid yelling this Elizabeth  bursts out laughing, and she and Freddie make up.
