Claude and Eustace have been offered jobs in South Africa and are staying at Bertie's the night before they would sail.  But while out on the town both of them manage to fall in love with Marion Wardour, a former friend of Bertie's, and they  keep stalking her. Eventually Jeeves succeeds in letting the twins set sail by making them believe Marion is herself sailing  on a boat that will connect with their vessel in Madeira.
