Gussie is still depressed when Bertie sees him the next morning as he is looking up to his task of speeching at the school while convinced that Honoria will never be his to be. Bertie decides to go on with his plan to spike Gussie's Orange juice with gin and finds out that Jeeves has done the same after all. Then a cheerful Gussie shows up, under the influence of whisky he has decided to take by himself.
