12 - A Pearly Raid

Aunt Dahlia tells Bertie that to get the money to pay her new writer she has pawned her necklace and has Aspinall make a look-alike from cultured pearls. But Lord Sidcup, the silver connaisseur arriving tomorrow on invitation from Tom, turns out to be also a jewelry expert and Tom has asked him to examine the necklace because he thinks he originally paid too much for it. When asked for a way out of the situation Jeeves suggests to have the necklace disappear through a fake burglary. Aunt Dahlia heartily agrees and Bertie reluctantly accepts to be charged with the execution. He enters aunt Dahlia's bedroom that night using a ladder. Unfortunately he picks the wrong window and finds himself in Florence's room.
