Adela Cream reveals that she has tracked down the Swordfish character through the wife of Sir Roderick Glossop and found out that he does not exist, so the Swordfish at Brinkley must be an imposter. She has searched his room and found the missing cow creamer and has alerted the police who will send a sergeant to apprehend Swordfish. Things are getting too complicated: a Jeeves solution is called for. Meanwhile Bertie will try and locate Swordfish/Glossop to ward him off.
