Aunts Aren't Gentlemen
7 - Le Postillion d'Amour
Returning to his cottage Bertie recounts his meeting with Orlo Porter to Jeeves, who advises him to stay clear of Vanessa Cook. Then Vanessa rings from the post office announcing her coming over. After first having expressed her suspicion that Bertie had followed her to Maiden Egglesford, which he denies, she hears from Bertie that it was Orlo who followed her, but that he cannot get to her because her father keeps shielding her from contact with him because of his Communist sympathies. She wants to use Bertie's cottage to meet Orlo and sends him over to the Goose and Grasshopper inn where Orlo must be staying, to invite him over for the next day.
