Bertie wakes up to see pink spots having manifested themselves on his chest and decides to consult a physician. He calls his old friend Tipton Plimsoll, who recommends E. Jimpson Murgatroyd, with whom Jeeves arranges an appointment. Bertie decides to drive down to see the doctor, having been warned by Jeeves that the traffic may be hindered by a demonstration.
