Q: When is Region 11N Jr. VASE?
A: May 03, 2025 from approximately 7:00am to 5:00pm
Q: How do I know what region my school is in?
A: Check out the map or the list of districts here: Regional Locator. If you are still unsure, ask your question using the suggestion box above.
Q: Will there be food available?
A: There will be food trucks with food available for purchase on the day of the event.
Q: What if I have a student who needs to be at another event on event day?
A: Upon registration, the teacher should let the regional director know they need a fast pass for that student. They will be admitted early and able to skip lines to help them meet the needs of multiple programs. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding on helping students in multiple activities.
Q: Can a teacher take the photo of the student if the student plans on using the photo to create a self-portrait?
A: Yes, as long as the photograph is of the student and is student-directed.
Q: Are there size and weight restrictions?
A: Yes; 2D artwork must be no larger than 24" x 36", including mat or mount, and cannot exceed a weight of 50 pounds. 3D artwork must be no larger than 24" x 24" x 36" in total dimensions including the base, and cannot exceed a weight of 50 pounds.
Q: Does the artwork need to have resources and references attached if the student created the entire project from his or her imagination?
A: Yes. All artwork must have their reference PDF attached.
Q: Will there be a 'fix it' station where students can use spray fixative, hairdryers, cut mat board, draw sketches and write reflection notes at the event?
A: No. All artworks should be completely dried/fired/sprayed, matted appropriately, and have resources and references attached prior to VASE Day otherwise the artwork may be disqualified. We apologize for this inconvenience but this region is too large to have students go through qualifications multiple times. Please have your artwork ready prior to the event.
