The Academic Success Centers (formerly Reading and Writing Studios/Learning Labs) offer one-on-one appointments both online and on campus. Additionally, they provide guides, handouts, and graphic organizers to help you with your reading and writing tasks.

More than 2,000 computers are available across Macomb’s campuses for you to use as a student to complete your assignments, conduct research and access a variety of College resources. The computer labs are located in the libraries and Learning Centers at both Center and South Campus.
Macomb Community College’s Library collections contain print, multimedia materials, and e-database/journal access to more than 45,000 resources.

Canvas can be accessed through my.macomb.edu or directly at online.macomb.edu. Your user ID is your Macomb email address and the password you created when activating your My Macomb account.

You can access your Macomb email through my.macomb.edu. Check your email regularly to keep updated on your classes and important college information.
If you download Outlook to your phone and/or personal computer, you can add your Macomb account to the application to more easily access your emails. For mobile devices, Outlook can be downloaded through the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android). For your computer, Outlook can be downloaded as a part of Microsoft Office (see instructions below).
You have access to Microsoft Office and Office 365 through Macomb. Office applications, like Microsoft Word and PowerPoint can be accessed through 365 online or downloaded and installed on your personal computer. Login with your Macomb ID to access these apps.
Self Service can be used for the following:
Finding the add, drop, and withdraw dates for your classes
Accessing final grades for your classes
Dropping and withdrawing from classes
Registering for classes
The technology used will vary by class. You may find that your class also uses one or more of the following applications:
Google Drive and/or Docs
Padlet
If you need help with any additional software for your class, we recommend that you try one or more of the following:
Check any resources your instructor has provided.
Search the internet for tutorials or for help with a specific problem (Google or Bing search, for example).
Search YouTube for video tutorials and troubleshooting.
Ask your instructor for additional resources.
Students who require assistance to succeed in college due to a physical disability, learning disability, or language barrier should contact the Office of Student Access Services (586) 445-7420. This should be done within the first two weeks of class. Additional information is available at Student Access Services office at Macomb.
If you need help putting food on the table, please visit Macomb’s Food for Thought Student Food Pantry. The Food Pantry is available to currently registered students.

The SOS program connects Macomb’s students with a variety of community and public benefit organizations that can you help with living expenses while you pursue your education. Contact the SOS office at 586.447.8609 or SOS@macomb.edu for information about the program and how you may qualify.
The Campus Community Care Team works to provide support and resources to students experiencing behavioral, emotional, and mental health barriers to their success. If you have concerns about yourself or a classmate, or if faculty has concerns about your well-being, referrals can be made by submitting a Behavioral Concern Report.
