Please sign your child up for Beginning Band Camp AFTER You have attended Band Registration Night on May 14th.
We are offering a Beginning Band Camp hosted at Palos South Middle School this summer for all District #118 Beginning Band students. If your child is planning on taking band at District #118, it is required that your student participates in this session as it best prepares band students for the upcoming school year. Students will receive their instrument and supplies the first day of camp if ordered through Quinlan and Fabish Music Company.
If your child cannot participate in camp, they must complete at least three lessons with a private music instructor prior to the start of the school year. A list of private lesson instructors can be found in the Band Handbook.
Camp Dates will be August 4th – August 8th, Monday through Friday. Students will attend camp at the time slot specific to their instrument.
8:00 am - 8:50 am: Flutes
9:00 am - 9:50 am: Clarinets
10:00 pm - 10:50 pm: Alto Saxophones (oboes)
11:30 pm -12:20 pm: Trumpets / Trombones / Baritones / Horn
12:30 pm -1:20 pm: Percussion
The total cost for Beginning Band Camp is $55.00 per student. Parents are encouraged to pay online using the Palos 118 Web Store. Log on to www.palos118.org and under the “Quick Links” tab, click on “Web Store”. The Web Store offers parents an easy and secure way of making payments online at any time from the comfort of their home. Parents can now pay fees with a VISA or MASTERCARD. Debit cards bearing the VISA or MASTERCARD logo are also accepted. If you do not have access to the internet from home, please visit the main office at Palos South Middle School where an internet connection will be available to you.

When registering online, please make sure that you complete all required fields including the box regarding medical concerns and emergency cell phone numbers. If the participant has no medical concerns, you must print “None” before the system will allow you to register. Please do not forget to provide an emergency cell phone number in the box regardless of medical concerns.
