QUARTERLY NOMINATION PROCESS
QUARTERLY NOMINATION PROCESS
Step 1: Choose an organization
Each member can nominate one organization per cycle.
Step 2: Complete the Online Nomination Form
Submit your nomination at least 2 weeks before the meeting.
Step 3: Nominated organizations are vetted between meetings
Must have 501(c)(3) status
Must be non-political (no political campaigns, candidates, parties)
Must be non-religious (It is not considered religious if it benefits the community at large...i.e. a soup kitchen in a church)
Must serve Cook County (excluding Chicago)
Organizations that perpetuate inequality or put human-rights-protected groups at risk will not be accepted.
Successfully vetted organizations will be added to the meeting’s hat at the following quarter’s meeting.
Step 4: Selection
At the end of each meeting, three of the nominated organizations are randomly selected from the hat. The members who nominated these organizations will prepare brief presentations for the next meeting.
Step 5: Presentation
At the following meeting, each nominating member will have 5 minutes to present their organization and 5 minutes for a Q&A. This is an informal presentation. Our meeting venue does not have projectors, monitors, etc. (See the Presentation Tips tab in the sidebar for further guidance.)
