Local Women. Local Impact.
100 Women Who Care in Downeast Maine is a growing community of engaged, compassionate women who care deeply about the people and issues facing our region. We believe in the power of collective giving: by combining our resources, we are able to provide significant financial support to local nonprofits making a difference.
Our approach is simple—each member contributes, nominates, and votes to determine which nonprofits receive funding. Together, we elevate grassroots organizations that might otherwise be overlooked, regardless of their focus area. Whether it’s environmental conservation, food security, housing, youth development, or the arts, if it’s a local nonprofit doing essential work in Hancock or Washington County, it’s eligible.
100 Women Who Care Downeast Maine empowers our members to become more active participants in local philanthropy. Through our regular meetings and annual grant process, we raise awareness of urgent needs and opportunities for impact. We are committed to transparency, community engagement, and generosity in action.
