The 100+ Women Who Care model has worked all over the country, allowing groups of small dollar donors to make a big impact on local non-profits. Quarterly meetings and a $400 annual commitment help to make the group more accessible than other giving circles-we have lower dollar options too! The meetings allow women to meet and make connections while learning about the amazing non-profits working in their communities every day.
In a time of funding cuts to many worthy organizations, we hope you will join us to build a community of women looking to make a difference in Baltimore. Ournext meeting is scheduled for Sunday, February 22nd 4-6 PM at Union Brewing. Let us know you are coming by clicking here to complete a commitment form. Feel free to spread the word and bring a friend!

The first 100 Women Who Care chapter was formed in Jackson, MI by Karen Dunigan when she learned of an immediate need in her community for $10,000 to purchase portable cribs for new mothers. She realized she could reach out to 100 women who would be able to contribute $100 and fulfill the request. More information can be found at this link.
Members commit to donating quarterly to local non profits. In an effort to be open to as many women as possible, donation level options are $100 quarterly, $35 quarterly for those 35 and under, or team up with a friend to each donate $50 quarterly.
To ensure we support a wide range of local initiatives, once an organization receives a donation, it will not be eligible again for one year. All nominated organizations must serve the Baltimore community directly. National or International nonprofit organizations are not eligible unless they can commit to designating 100% of our donation to serve Baltimore city residents. This helps ensure our collective giving has a local impact where it matters most.
At each meeting:
Members may submit the name of the organization they want to support.
Three names will be drawn at random.
The members who submitted the organizations drawn will be given five minutes to make a presentation and five to ten minutes for questions.
All members vote by ballot and a simple majority rules. Although it may not be your first choice, you are still obligated to donate.
An organization can be submitted again at the next meeting if it was not chosen.
An organization that receives funding cannot be submitted again for one year.
Options to donate is check or online via the Grapevine Giving platform, join our group by clicking here.
For your tax purposes, payments will be made to the chosen organization. If you are unable to attend, give your check to a member to deliver on your behalf or utilize Grapevine giving to process your donation.
The nonprofit must agree to NOT use the donors' name for future solicitations or give the information out to the public. If the nonprofit does not adhere to this condition, they will be removed from any future consideration.
Presentation Info
Please keep in mind that ALL organizations must be LOCAL. They can have no national or international affiliation. For example: Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland CANNOT be considered, but the local organization, Moveable Feast can be.
Presentations are simple and should not be overly formal. Feel free to bring printed materials from the organization to share. Here are some questions you should be prepared to answer:
Where is the organization located in Baltimore?
When was it founded?
What is your affiliation with this organization and why does it matter to you?
What is the organization's mission?
Who does the organization serve and how do they do it?
What are some differences they make in our community?
What will our funds be used to support?
