except for the moving there I haven't touched the throttle at all I'm letting it do the throttle and flying up a bit just to get it above the treeline so it's easier to see and farther away because it's loud ok now let's address a couple things first and foremost the compass calibration usually on a cheaper drone like this compass calibration is extremely difficult very annoying and very frustrating but this time it worked the first time and it was very easy to do the indicator was nice did a great job get a shot of us let's skyline behind us looks really pretty happy so did you hit record on the app yeah the second thing I wanted to address was the record button on the transmitter there is not a record button within the app our playback button is now grayed out so probably because we're recording I pressed record on our transmitter before takeoff that beeping that you're hearing tells us we're recording at least it's a faint beep but it is very annoying so we had to put our own micro SD card into the drone yes so it should be saving to that and not the phone yes ok now I want to point out that we're a bit higher right now so I should be able to twist this down oh yeah look at that it's working we have camera tilt control oh and that's not a very common thing when a drone in this price point actually very impressed I'm not touching the joysticks at all it's flying really well it tells us we're twenty-one point three meters out and fifteen point eight seven meters high so we have telemetry on screen turning out to be a pretty nice drone the only thing so far the only thing that I do not like about this drone oh it like now it's coming back that was weird just got a mind of its own right there trying to see what it's doing just trying to read it out here strange okay the only thing I don't like is that horrible beeping so let's just turn that off okay I hit the video button would like to access your photos so it's gonna say to my friend okay it should have saved to the phone now we'll just continue to fly and Abby let's do a screen shot of your phone here I've got to switch this around I want to show everybody what I'm seeing that's not the right button it's the bottom one here I should have changed the battery on my camera flashing oh well I wanted to point out in the top right corner we have a little battery indicator for the drone and we also have a transmitter battery indicator I also have a GPS signal strength which is really nice and then a few other stupid options like virtual transmitter VR and just a couple like back to the main menu so let's test some of the other features I want to see if we have like a limitation set in maybe it won't let us fly any farther than that cuz it acted there there there I hit that it's like I've got an invisible wall it won't let me go past that I wonder if there's a beginner mode I want to just look in here really fast beginner is on so I'm gonna turn that off determine and save okay now let's see if we can go bit farther I'm gonna turn the video back on for you guys okay this is actually a really good app I'm very impressed okay alright beginner mode is off so I can fly faster but I have to adjust my distances let me show you guys this screen it looks just like what you would expect to see look at that we can set our flight distance a bit higher just set it at meters then our high in altitude return to home altitude that's really nice that's really nice yeah I went to and it was just let's just see at that's distance away meters meters that's right okay let's go a bit further now just this show that it worked or at - it'll be meters instead of so I still have maintaining line-of-sight yep never ever for any reason ever just dangerous this is surprisingly a good drum waianae because when I saw wow we're gonna write this space for you to actually be able to repackage the dren into the box I was like I think this so I'm getting a little bit of latency there on the Wi-Fi fpv signal as I turned around but Abby just just fly this here it's really nice no your phone is just kind of loose on there so that's about the only downside to that with your phone oh yeah we may lose the DSLR if there's a cut in between we may lose you for seconds to a minute so just be prepared guys it'll probably cut out because the drone battery is just now at about half I was fully expecting to say nope nope nope this is a hard pass on this drone but now I'm very impressed by it so are their rates oh yes the top left knob the top left knob okay that's your rate so you can push that up and down yep there sounds like you're at the max now remember there's a beginner mode on there too you can turn that on to slow down cruising cruising right along what's a GPS trendy with fpv you think that's what she means so she's just only using her fpv I was that beeping all the camera probably yeah the camera tilt are you doing it right moved for me you're pretty pretty significant amount too so she's just flying fpv right now look at that obviously say oh dear a hat my shirt so you wish the camera would tilt up a bit more as what you're saying no yeah okay that's a challenge with me with flying that's what you're saying but it'll I am down more right you're pushing up hmm it's like not moving at all okay well if you're bringing it in a little closer we could take a look now if you just fly like a normal drone just point it just push forward and see which way it goes I know yeah there you go nice you got it flying it no problem yeah sometimes act like you've never flown a drone before having been a while not really just a couple days ago on the channel the cameras not moving anymore okay well maybe it got jammed up or something that's moving just fine it's just I guess slower than I thought it was yeah it's a nice slow steady movement yeah I like it it's fine so that's inspired that go so are you still recording probably not okay there's an indicator it's a GPS turn on a race drone use the camera to set up the shot and then you go into the show and you watch the engine and this is just a p camera it's nothing crazy but for the price I guess it's pretty good I oh I was just expecting just to say this is total junk but the app like look at all the options you have within the app it's pretty impressive you also have returned to home and GPS would you like to headless mode would you like to test those functions where's returned probably the big house button should I stop recording just keep recording so that goes up the beep changed yep this will give us a chance to change our battery out on the DSL now you might have to catch it because we took off kind of close to a picnic table and I see it's straight up so I'll do my best to record it here camera battery up let's smooth descent [Music] okay all right they're gone don't know all right let's switch this battery up after we swap the battery out on the DSLR I forgot to turn the mic on so there's a section of me flying in this video but we just didn't have any audio at all and it was me testing the follow me function so while I'm talking to you there's probably some b-roll of it working and it worked really well what I did was line myself up into the shot and then I pressed the follow me button and it followed me wherever I walked around later in this clip I tested altitude I gave it just a little bump up of altitude throttle and it flew a little higher while it was in the follow me mode so you can adjust the height while it's in the follow me you just have to set your distance and your angle and then press the follow me and it worked just fine after we tested that did an auto land and it landed very close to where it took off so overall it was very successful I apologize for not hitting that record button I think the heat is getting to me we're in the mid s here today so it's very hot and muggy and humid but I think overall this drone was a home run especially because I pulled it out of the box and I thought this is just gonna be a hard pass everything in the app worked really well all of the buttons on the transmitter are labeled and functioned as they are supposed to and the drone itself looks good flew well it has limitations you can set you can increase your flight distance and height and everything that's not the type of thing you usually have in a drone at this price point and the best thing about it I think is that you can adjust the camera tilt up and down it works really well it just moves a bit slower than Abby thought she thought it wasn't working but it actually does work just fine so even the video feed looked really good for a p camera that's not too bad and a to minute flight time is awesome you guys just didn't get to see part of that because I had the mic off on the camera so what did you think I mean I liked it I think I just expected it to perform more like the last few quads we've had where they've been a lot more asipi but you know this is a GPS camera drone it's meant to fly flow and stable and I you know considering that it did a really good job at what it's meant to do I like that this talks back down in here too so you're right you say at first I expected it to just be like another Libby quad but now it's supposed to perform as a yes yeah I mean if that's your budget if you have $ or less and you're just wanting that whole GPS experience and this is definitely worth looking into I'll have a link in the description box below yeah I should definitely check it out for yourself you don't have anything in this category a GPS drone you don't like those small folding armed drones and you want something that bigger easier to see from farther away then this is really cool it just looks good I mean that's totally a DJI phantom copy can I make a point now yes we decide multiple times in this video that this looks like a DJI phantom copy because it does pairing it does this is clearly a rebranded DJI ish drone okay but this is not a DJI product the same concept applies to the company that we're not even allowed to say their name anymore if something looks like they're set that's like their product but in my opinion this is promoting that more expensive better quality company because DJI is basically top dog in the drone world this is good if you have a budget we want something this size but you don't want to spend what a DJI phantom cost so pick up this first see if you enjoy the Hobby and then when you enjoy the Hobby because I know you will then you can spend the big bucks that's what we've always encouraged on our channel start small don't break the bank make sure you enjoy the hobby that you're interested in before you spend thousands of dollars in it so now we can't say a huge try company's name because they think that they're losing sales but I can tell you right now DJI is making film off this video yeah cuz DJI is clearly better than this but if you don't have that budget this will do what you needed very good point but it's lacking a gimbal its lacking for cake amra a lot of features in the air came a lot of extra features and this feels totally great but this will get you in the air and that's what this is meant to do we have a lot of beginners on our channel that are gonna appreciate the stroke and like it for what it is and then when they're ready they're gonna buy that bigger better drone so I just wanted to make that point just because people are still kind of interested in that topic of why we can't say that truck company's name but we're still allowed to say other people's name names it's freedom of speech and we'll continue to do it but we'll make sure you understand that this is not a DJI drone because it's not
