What is a Prevention Counselor?

As a Substance Use Prevention Counselor, Ms. Snyder focuses on prevention, education, and intervention related to substance use for all Victor students.  

Ms. Snyder is available to provide the following to students, staff, and families in the Victor community:

• Tips to promote prevention of substance use or delayed initiation of substance use

• Tips on talking to youth about substances (when, how, and how often)

• Substance use education including information on current local and national trends

• School-based support for students

• Community resource information

• Referral assistance for community resources 

• Answer questions families may have about substance use, treatment, and recovery

• LISTEN!
